We are actively recruiting an experienced and motivated Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT), Registered Nurse (RN) or Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) for a permanent full-time position in Sudbury, ON. The successful Healthcare Professional will initiate CPAP, APAP, Bi-PAP, Home Oxygen therapy and other respiratory services as prescribed by local health care professionals. Our RRT/RN/RPN work directly with home care clients, referral sources and funding agencies to deliver the highest level of patient care possible.

As a valued member of our Homecare team, this position is responsible for the initiation of prescribed therapies and the promotion of products and services. Responsibilities will also include administrative duties, billing and invoicing, and the coordination of telephone and electronic referrals. Our healthcare professionals participate in a rotating on call schedule that enables Northern Respiratory to provide after-hours support and care to our patients and referral sources.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Initiate home oxygen and PAP therapy including assessments, education, documentation and follow up to ensure equipment performance and client compliance.
  • Preparing billing and invoicing for clients.
  • Coordination of telephone and electronic referrals.
  • Provide troubleshooting with medical devices, maintain and clean equipment.
  • Facilitates payment by preparation of funding documents and maintaining knowledge of funding programs.
  • Adhere to safety and infection control policies and protocols.
  • Attend workshop/education sessions to ensure product knowledge is current.
  • Be accountable for maintenance and security of equipment used.

Qualifications:

  • A Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT), Registered Practical Nurse (RPN), Registered Nurse (RN), with current registration in good standing with their college is required.
  • Minimum 1-year healthcare experience. CPAP, homecare, or oxygen therapy experience is considered asset.
  • Proof of License to practice with the provincial governing body (CRTO, CNO). (repetitive to 1st line of qualifications)
  • A class G Driver’s License is required with clean drivers abstract.
  • Must have a clear vulnerable check.
  • Fluency in English required (reading, writing and oral), bilingualism is considered an asset.
  • Professional and friendly interpersonal skills with strong customer service values.
  • Excellent organizational skills with impeccable attention to detail.
  • Ability to multi-task, assess situations, prioritize tasks, and set deadlines.
  • A professional and mature demeanor, with strong communication skills.
  • Must be committed to both personal and patient/client safety.
  • Current Basic rescuer CPR and First Aid Training is considered an asset.
  • Strong cardio-respiratory assessment skills.
  • Technically proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook), QuickBooks, or similar accounting software & experience with CRM/EMR system.

Employment type: Full-time, permanent

Schedule: 30-40 hours per week, plus on-call/rotation

Pay: $60,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
