The Assistive Devices (ADP) Home oxygen program under the Ministry of Health provides oxygen for those that meet medical eligibility criteria. If the criteria are met, oxygen will be funded 100% if over 65 years of age, or 75% under 65 years of age. There are certain exceptions to the 75% funding including palliative care and social benefits. Once initially funded, your Northern Respiratory healthcare professional will look after the renewal applications when they are required by the ADP program.
Northern Respiratory and InspiAIR are approved vendors for the Assistive Devices Home Oxygen Program (HOP) and bill directly for the cost of providing home oxygen therapy.
If ADP criteria is not met your oxygen will not be funded. Alternatively, most insurance providers will cover a portion.
Not qualified for ADP or through insurance? Not a problem, Northern Respiratory offers a rental program. Anyone who has received a prescription for Home O2 can privately rent equipment. For questions regarding how to qualify for funding or rent equipment please speak to one of our therapists to learn more.
