    Oxygen Therapy

Lung disease and chronic lung conditions can interfere with your body’s ability to extract oxygen from the air. Oxygen therapy is designed to more effectively deliver air to your lungs, relieving some of the effects of labored breathing. There are many reasons why your doctor may have prescribed oxygen therapy. These include:

    • Obstructive lung diseases such as Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD)
    • Restrictive lung diseases such as Pulmonary Fibrosis
    • Part of overall treatment of various cancers
    • Relief for temporary conditions such as Pneumonia
    • Some cardiac-related illnesses

    CPAP

Sleep Apnea isn’t just about snoring or getting a good night’s sleep. It’s a serious medical disorder that, left untreated, increases your risk of chronic, life-threatening diseases.

    How is Sleep Apnea treated?

Sleep Apnea can be treated with a CPAP machine. CPAP is an acronym for Continuous Positive Airway Pressure.

If you think you may suffer from sleep apnea, make an appointment to be evaluated and see if you need a sleep test.
